Ben Affleck has the perfect reason to get out of unpleasant plans.
In a recent interview with actor Jon Bernthal on GOAT TALK to promote their upcoming film The Accountant 2, the father of three revealed his "GOAT" reason for missing plans: his "kids."
"It's not an excuse if you've heard me say it before," Affleck said. "But it's like, you know, my children. Like anything happens with your children."
Affleck said, "Because that is the thing where you're like, 'Hey, I can't do it.'" "I have to do something for my kids."
"That's why I don't use it as a 'excuse,'" he said.
Affleck's co-star disagreed, saying that having a call time for the set is the greatest explanation in his opinion.
"But see, I believe the GOAT excuse is, 'I have be on set.' "I mean, it's kinda douchey and s***," Bernthal said. "But when you need to be on set, it's kind of like... I mean, I enjoy being on set, but it's kind of like being in jail. You have no option but to be there."
"I should use it more as an excuse," Affleck said.
"To go be with your kids," someone said.
"Yes, precisely; sorry. People will say, 'Yeah, well, we all got kids, guy.' Do you understand what I mean? So it is true. "I'm going to start using that," Affleck said.
