Cristiano Ronaldo, a professional player, has initiated a new project with English filmmaker Matthew Vaughn.
The former Manchester United footballer has collaborated with the creator of the Kingsman film franchise to start UR MARV, a film company.
According to reports, the two are quite excited about their new enterprise and hope to release a trilogy of action flicks shortly.
Ronaldo's crew shared the latest update on his social media account, stating that the 40-year-old is thrilled for the 'new chapter'.
The statement continued: "Cristiano Ronaldo loves movies; Matthew Vaughn loves sport - and they both love a good story."
"Both have been disruptive champions at their game and will now combine the world of sport and storytelling through the launch of UR MARV, an independent joint venture film studio embracing innovative technology, with a nod to tradition."
The highly recognized striker stated, "This is an exciting chapter for me, as I look forward to new business ventures."
The team's announcement also said that Ronaldo and Vaughn had previously funded and produced two films. The pair is preparing to begin filming a third feature.
The new partners will announce the films' release dates soon.
