Duchess Sophie has been assigned to a new position as a result of King Charles' crucial choice regarding the royal family during his cancer treatment.
According to Hello! Magazine, the Duchess of Edinburgh joined King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II as patrons of the Yellow Labrador Club.
The mother-of-two, dressed in a beautiful gown, stopped by the club on Tuesday and spent poignant moments with pets.
Sussie Wiles, the club's honorary secretary, joked about Sophie's encounter with the pups, saying, "...we had to watch carefully that she [Sophie] didn't sneak one in her pocket."
Sussie remembers their "lovely afternoon" with the Duchess. She described the royal family's'secret weapon' as a down-to-earth person.
Sophie "really put us at ease, and it was wonderful to have her as part of our group." None of us felt embarrassed; she made us all feel quite comfortable...," a club official stated.
It is worth noting that Sophie began her new trip after an informant revealed that the King is "dedicated" to bringing his family and the country together to commemorate VE Day.
