Prince William and Kate Middleton are highly active in parenting their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
However, the Prince and Princess of Wales maintain the royal practice of employing a nanny.
Caroline Redgrave, one of the couple's previous nannies, told The Sun about George, Charlotte, and Louis' nighttime routine.
Caroline, who had been with the family for almost five years, described bedtime as a relaxing routine that helped the children relax.
"You get to know them in those quiet evening hours," the former nanny explained. "That's when they're most relaxed."
She continued: "And it's also when you see how grounded they really are; polite, playful and full of personality."
Caroline also mentioned that, despite living in such a splendid surroundings, the royal children's routine was straightforward and practical.
"We always kept to a familiar structure of a warm bath, quiet play, stories and then bed," she told me. "It was designed to help them unwind slowly."
"Regardless of what had happened that day, the routine remained the same. We never used harsh or strongly scented items.
"Their skincare regimes were really basic and natural. No chemicals, no fuss. Just use warm water, a soft cloth, and a plant-based wash."
According to the expert, following bath time, George enjoyed constructing with blocks, Charlotte enjoyed quietly reading, and Louis frequently snuggled with a plush animal.
She explained, "There was no screen time in the evenings." It was all about slowing things down.
