Hailey Bieber recently took matters into her own hands, criticizing a news site for undermining her recent award-winning accomplishment in a Justin Bieber-centric headline.
The Rhode cofounder, 28, received the "Beauty Innovator Award" at The Daily Front Row's 9th Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards on Thursday.
In a heartfelt gesture, the beauty entrepreneur ended her award speech with an homage to her husband Justin, thanking him for "supporting this dream" of hers and constantly encouraging her.
Hailey, a model and first-time mother, also thanked her brand's founding partner, Lauren Ratner, and her friends "for being the best test subjects and biggest cheerleaders."
However, when a news source quoted her precise remarks for Justin, the beauty entrepreneur couldn't help but criticize them in a recent Instagram story for undervaluing her own work in creating a company and making it successful.
"Might as well have made the headline: Hailey thanks her husband in a speech she gave while receiving an award for her own company that she built, but we would rather acknowledge that she mentioned her husband instead of [celebrating] her accomplishment," Hailey wrote on Saturday, attaching a screenshot of the news story.
In her victory speech, she also discussed her goal for the skincare business, which she will launch in June 2022.
"I didn't want to build a brand just to start a brand. I truly wanted to construct a whole universe. And I frequently remark, 'Welcome to the world of Rhode,' because Rhode is more than simply items to me. It's a mood, a lifestyle, a location, and a culture that is available to everyone who identifies with it," Hailey said in her Thursday address.
Hailey's homage to Justin follows speculations about their marriage and the Grammy winner's mental health. The 31-year-old Grammy-winning musician recently lost his beloved grandpa, who died on April 24, 2025, at age 88.
