Palace sent Prince Harry a devastating letter ahead of the ruling in his security issue.
The Duke of Sussex's hope of reconnecting with his family appears to have been dashed as a new report from the royal household sparked worries about his deteriorating relationship with his father, King Charles.
According to People Magazine, an insider from the Palace said that there is no "rapprochement," implying that the king purposely distanced himself from his son, particularly during the security arrangement issue.
According to the source, Harry and the King are still "distant" despite the Duke's evident efforts to reconcile with his dying father.
Earlier, royal analyst Sally Bedell Smith explained why the king chose to avoid his son, stating, "[The legal battle] puts Harry in direct contact with the people who are carrying out the King's orders."
"If his father was to say something even seemingly innocuous, it could end up landing in the middle of the court case," he told me.
It is believed that King Charles' recent decision thwarted Harry's plan to bring his family back to the UK in order to introduce his children, Archie and Lilibet, to his heritage.
Not only that, but Harry made a startling statement about his "worst fears" being validated after tragic information were revealed to him during the hearing.
