Following the recent debut of the Oppo Reno 13 and Oppo Reno 13 Pro models in India, information about the company's future generation of Reno-series smartphones has began to emerge. While an earlier leak indicated that the Reno 14 series will have sleek and lightweight designs with aluminum mid-frames, there is now additional information on that front. A tipster has shared what appear to be authentic photographs of the Oppo Reno 14 smartphone, which features a very similar design.
Oppo Reno 14 Design (Expected)
A leaked graphic of the Reno 14 Pro model earlier showcased a design that was quite similar to the current Oppo Reno 13 Pro model. Now, tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo has posted two photos claiming to depict the design of the next Reno.
The photographs show the Oppo Reno 14 from the rear and side. The first shot clearly displays the back camera module. The top portion of the phone has a flat white surface. It shows the R-shaped layout of the cameras, with two on the left and a third inside another capsule-shaped ring. Below it is a triple LED flash, which is similarly housed within the somewhat rectangular camera module.
The top half's design, with its metal camera rings and elegantly chamfered edges, immediately brings to mind previous iPhone models such as the iPhone 12. Oppo also appears to have used a flat one-piece sculpted glass back panel that is elevated just around the camera module.
The second image shows the same location of the phone, but from the side. While the first image just displays the volume rocker button near to the back cameras, the second image has both buttons. On this side are the volume and power/unlock buttons. The side view also reveals how small the phone seems, which confirms the tiny and lightweight design described in a prior report.
What is yet to be revealed (as mentioned in the previous article) is the presence of a Magic Cube button on the Reno 14. It is expected to feature on the Reno 14 Pro when it is released, but it is unclear whether the button will make it to the non-Pro model. Both the Oppo Reno 13 and Oppo Reno 13 Pro now have a metal mid-frame constructed of aluminum.
