Meghan Markle understands she is doing a lot at once, and she couldn't be happier.
During her TIME100 Summit appearance on Wednesday, April 23, the Duchess of Sussex acknowledged to juggling a lot of activities at once, but denied critics' claims that she is failing at it.
"The last year and a half has been extremely busy and ambitious," Meghan, 43, explained. "You see it all come to life and try to give yourself space and the grace to make mistakes, to know you're not doing it right every day."
Her opinions are consistent with Tina Brown, author of The Diana Chronicles, who stated that the Duchess is attempting to be a "instant Beyonce or Michelle Obama" through her "enormously shallow" commercial activities.
"She is really ADD. "She just never stops making announcements and never really follows through," Brown stated on Friday's Mixed Signals program.
The former Vanity Fair editor-in-chief said, "It's like, I'm going to do a food show! Nah, I'm going to be a podcaster. "And hello, hello, I have a beauty line!"
Brown, 71, went on to say, "It's like, do one of those things really well, and then do something else." She's oddly panicked about her business concept."
Despite the reaction, Markle's brand is growing popularity. Her As Ever collection sold out in just an hour, and Netflix has already renewed With Love, Meghan for a second season.
Meghan couldn't be happier, even if she made a few mistakes along the road.
"To have a supportive spouse and husband, as well as healthy and happy children. I never dreamed I'd be this pleased and thankful — and I truly am," Meghan remarked on the TIME100 stage.
