King Charles III's recent choice about Prince Andrew has aroused comments, despite Prince William and Kate Middleton's absence from the royal occasion.
The Duke of York made a surprise appearance alongside King Charles, Queen Camilla, and other royals at an Easter Sunday service at Windsor, replacing Prince William and Kate Middleton, who chose to spend the day with their children.
With a "forceful" gesture at St George's Chapel, Prince Andrew sparked a new dispute by passing the Dean of Windsor in the procession following the King and Queen.
According to royal analyst Robert Hardman, as the monarch entered the church, "the Duke of York then stepped immediately behind them, overtaking the man in charge, the Dean of Windsor, the Rt Rev Christopher Cocksworth".
"Here was a forceful reminder that, in this company at least, the Duke was first in the line of succession," Hardman told the Evening Standard.
In one of the photos posted by media sites, the King can be seen glancing at the Duke as he heads to the chapel.
King Charles III seemed to be tense about ongoing family conflict, as the Prince and Princess of Wales were missing from the celebration while Andrew sought to demonstrate his power throughout the service.
"Prince Andrew's body language made this look like his debutante's coming out ball as he performed a kind royal quick-step to appear back in the role of second son to the late Queen," according to Judi James, a body language consultant.
According to James, Andrew stood "in the gap in the middle of the group" with his legs extended in a confident posture.
