Delroy Lindo of Marvel Cinematic Universe has spoken up on the franchise's next projects, including the fate of Mahershala Ali's Blade flick.
The project, which was first announced in 2019, ran into difficulty when it was pushed back to September 2024 and then deleted off Disney's release calendar.
Lindo said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that he has departed the film, and its direction has drastically changed.
He told the site, "When Marvel approached me, they appeared to be extremely interested in my input...and in the many talks I had with producers, the writer, and the director at the time, everything was heading to being very inclusive.
"It was really thrilling theoretically, but also in terms of the character that was going to emerge. And then, for some reason, it simply went off the track."
This follows the cancelation of Blade, which was attributed to Marvel's displeasure with the difficult project.
With a release date of November 5, 2025, people are questioning if the project would ever see the light of day.
