Prince Harry has raised worries about being handled unfairly in terms of security on his travels to the United Kingdom.
In a recent judicial appeal, the Duke of Sussex cited disparities in how the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (RAVEC) handled his protection compared to others.
During a closed court session, Harry's legal team stated that RAVEC had done continuing Risk Management Board (RMB) analyses for people classified as 'Other VIP Category,' ensuring constant protective protection.
In contrast, Harry's security was established on a case-by-case basis, which he claimed lacked a solid or reasonable foundation.
Following the session, Prince Harry told the Telegraph, 'People would be astonished by what's being held back,' implying that his worst concerns had been verified during the closed-door hearings.
The Duke has already highlighted the increased threats he faces, citing 'new layers of prejudice and extremism' and claiming that his family faces a 'foreign threat.'
He feels that existing security measures are insufficient to ensure their safety. The Home Office, which oversees RAVEC decisions, insists that the present security systems are adequate. A formal verdict on the appeal is expected in the coming weeks.
