Prince Harry's sudden decision aroused eyebrows, as it contradicted his own comments on security.
The Duke of Sussex visited war-torn Ukraine on April 10 to showcase crucial work being done at the Superhumans Center in Lviv.
At the time, Harry's team stated that the Prince "toured the facility, meeting with patients and medical staff to witness the incredible treatment offered to soldiers, civilians, and children who have endured life-altering injuries."
Soon after the Duke made news for his journey to the troubled region before Prince William, numerous royal experts criticized Harry's'mad' decision and anticipated a resurgence of the brothers' feud.
Richard Kay of the Daily Mail remarked on Palace Confidential, "Part of his schtick is that it's not safe for him to be in the UK. And then [he was spotted] going out to a legitimate conflict zone in Ukraine."
"I mean, good for him, he was following things [close to him], supporting injured warriors, but it's slightly mad to suggest that he's somehow not safe in Britain but he would be safe in a war zone," he told me.
While discussing the Prince of Wales' potential reaction to Harry's unexpected choice, Richard claimed that William must feel "annoyed" because he is simply "following Government advice and going to places where it's deemed safe for him to go."
