Prince Andrew joined the royal family at Windsor Castle for a sorrowful occasion on Friday.
The Duke of York appeared sorrowful after attending a memorial ceremony for his late father, Prince Philip, which commemorated four years after the former Duke of Edinburgh died on April 9, 2021, at the age of 99.
The 65-year-old, dressed properly in a black suit and white shirt, was pictured departing the Berkshire home. He was observed driving away from the castle in the early afternoon, and his demeanor reflected the poignancy of the event.
The royal family convened on April 17, 2021, one day after the fourth anniversary of the former Duke of Edinburgh's funeral at St George's Chapel. However, it is unknown which royals attended Friday's tribute.
The event looked to be a private family gathering, bringing together those closest to the late Duke to honor his life and legacy.
Andrew's public appearance comes one day before the royal family's regular Easter Sunday stroll.
According to reports, the Duke and Duchess of York, who have traditionally attended the event, will not walk this year.
