The Prince of Wales is preparing to make substantial changes to the monarchy when he becomes King. Those close to Prince William have long hinted at his view for how the monarchy should function.
According to The Times, William wants the monarchy to be about creating a meaningful "impact" and doing things to better people's lives in a variety of ways.
According to the journal, the father of three wants to move the monarchy's focus away from "ribbon-cutting" celebrations and toward "delivering practical benefits."
While some sources have previously claimed that William has a temper and sends "dozens of weekend WhatsApps to staff," people who've worked with him in real life, including New Zealand's former prime minister Jacinda Ardern, have described him as "thoughtful and humble."
Ardern stated that people frequently ask about renowned individuals: "What are they like behind the scenes? "What are they like in real life?"
She stated that she has worked with William in real life and wants viewers to know that "he's exactly the same person," as he appears to be.
She commended the Prince of Wales for his interest in his profession and stated that he is "motivated by" it.
"[It's] a really collaborative method of working. There's humility there, which is incredible when you're born into a job like this," she continued.
Former cabinet minister William Hague also gave his thoughts on how the next monarch will conduct his business.
"I've frequently heard him say, 'There's been too much discussion about that. We need to see action. He is polite and pleasant. "He wants to know that you're getting results," he explained.
