Samsung said to have extended the green line free screen replacement for some Galaxy models till September

 

Samsung is rumored to have extended the coverage period of its free one-time screen replacement policy for handsets impacted by the infamous green line issue. According to a source, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and Galaxy S21 users will now be eligible for a one-time screen replacement at certified repair locations in India till September. However, as always, the South Korean technology behemoth allegedly claimed that gadget eligibility is limited based on purchase date, quality, and other criteria.

Samsung's Free Green Line Screen Replacement Policy
According to tipster Tarun Vats, Samsung Support has verified that their screen replacement program will now be valid until September 2025 for the Galaxy S22 Ultra and Galaxy S21 series. Previously, it only applied to out-of-warranty Galaxy devices until December 31, 2024.

The business claims the offer will include a replacement of the OCTA (On-Cell Touch AMOLED) assembly. Furthermore, the expert will provide free battery and kit replacements. However, there are certain terms and conditions.

According to Samsung support, the devices should have no physical damage or symptoms of water damage. Devices purchased within three years will be eligible for free parts replacement. Furthermore, only the initial purchaser will be eligible to receive a replacement upon production of the original invoice.

Although the replacement will be done for free, labor expenses will be incurred, which the client will pay. They may take advantage of this offer by scheduling an appointment at a nearby Samsung approved repair facility to get their screen replaced, which has been affected by the green line problem.

Notably, Samsung has previously given free screen replacements for smartphones plagued by the green line issue. In April 2024, the firm launched a special replacement plan in India for the Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S21, and Galaxy S22. In November, Samsung extended this offer to cover out-of-warranty handsets until December 31, 2024. According to the tipster, it has got an extension till later this year.
