Tom Cruise is about to embark on a big career move.
Before the release of Mission Impossible - The Final Reckoning, Cruise spoke of his desire to work in musicals and collaborate with Ben Stiller.
During his talk at the BFI in London, the actor stated that he would "love" to collaborate with Ben Stiller.
Cruise said, "I would love to work with Ben again. We're huge admirers of Ben Stiller, and he's really skilled. When you look at what he's done as a filmmaker and the things he's developed, he's a wonderful buddy, and we're huge admirers of his; he's really brilliant."
He also disclosed that he has several dream projects. "I have several. Definitely! Musicals are absolutely a thing. You know, drama, action, and adventure. "It's endless," Cruise stated.
Cruise also mentioned that he frequently attempts to learn stuff on set, urging other actors to do the same.
"I urge performers to train and identify their interests, whether it's music or instruments. In my career, whether it's an underwater scene that you saw me performing, [Ridley Scott's] Legend was the first time I did an underwater sequence, and I probably thought, 'What's that camera? What are you doing? "And I'm very curious," Cruise explained.
He said, "I was like, 'Okay, now I store that.'" Then I became a master, and now I'm going to make another underwater scene, and then another, another, another, and the same region over and over again. I'll study music and then do a musical, or I'll think of a character, then I'll find a screenplay, then I'll put that character into the script.
Tom Cruise's forthcoming film Mission Impossible - The Final Reckoning is set to be released on May 21.
