Jimmy Kimmel, 57, recently become a grandfather!
The renowned late-night talk show presenter began the newest broadcast of his show Jimmy Kimmel Live! by explaining to his audience why he cancelled Monday's show.
He announced that his 33-year-old daughter, Katie, had given birth to her first kid, stating, "We're back at work after an additional day off. "You know, we were supposed to have a show last night, but we didn't because my daughter gave birth."
After receiving applause from the studio audience, Kimmel said, "People know that I have two little kids (but) they don't know I have two older kids."
"Her name is Katie." Katie and her husband Will welcomed a baby girl precisely while we were filming our show last night. So I choose to be there rather than here. "The baby is extremely healthy," he stated.
Kimmel then joked about the baby's "very cute name," calling it "Melania... Melania Thee Stallion," before revealing the newborn's true name, Patti Joan.
He also sincerely apologized to the studio audience and his "very understanding" guest, Seth Rogen, for canceling Monday's program.
Jimmy Kimmel claimed that, other from formal holidays and the Covid-19 outbreak, he had only missed one other program in 22 years, which occurred in 2007 when he had his appendix removed.
