Kate Middleton exploits Victoria Beckham's family feud to express affection for Meghan?
It looks like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's decision to invite Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Pletz has resulted in a bit of déjà vu. One so significant that Kate Middleton appears to have exploited the occasion to highlight her position in the schism between the Firm and Prince Harry.
Daniela Elser, a royal commentator, has compared and presented the full situation.
In her post for News.com.au, she argues that her decision to wear an olive green suit in "22 degree heat," as reported by The Telegraph, was the indication.
For those unfamiliar, this garment is from Victoria Beckham's line.
That is why Ms Elser questioned, "Has she just thrown herself into the messiest celebrity family feud in the world?" Indeed, "the princess has just, reportedly, seemingly picked a side in the Beckham family drama."
That's also "right at the very moment when the Spice Girl turned designer and husband David find themselves embroiled in the same sort of tabloid family saga the that Crown Inc is painfully au fait with."
For example, a scenario in which the public witnesses "a son lacking firm purpose who falls hard for a glamorous American gal, only for the love birds to then spectacularly fall out with his British family"
In general, Ms. Elser says, "When it comes to the Windsors and the Beckhams, there is a definite degree of döppelganging to their family dramas."
But before she finished, the pundit did observe, "Whatever might have demotivated the princess to wear Monday's suit, what is undeniable is the massive shot in the arm and boost for the Victoria Beckham brand it all is."
For those unfamiliar with Meghan's meeting with the Beckham children, insiders informed People magazine, "Brooklyn and Nicola were invited prior to David [Beckham's] numerous global birthday galas, so the timing is pure coincidence."
"Although it was a small event, there were a few extra attendees, including VIPs and film execs. Brooklyn and Nicola had a great experience and thought Harry and Meghan to be very nice, compassionate, and kind."
