Prince Harry's interview with BBC journalist Nada Tawfik appears to have drawn a response from the King's close friend.
This pal talked openly with The Sunday Times about the royals' reaction.
The friend clarified: "Harry just sees conspiracy every time a decision doesn't go in his direction."
"He is like a gambler in a casino who can't walk away - he just doubles down."
"Even when he speaks of reconciliation, it is laced with threats and anger," they told me.
Furthermore, "it's not that the King won't speak to him - it's that he can't."
After all, "how can you have a private and delicate conversation if you know it will be broadcast on a news special within hours?" Perhaps if he attempted to earn rather than demand a reconciliation, things might be a little better for him.
Overall, "it's just very tragic," they said.
For those unfamiliar with Prince Harry's confessions during the interview, he mentioned being "unable" to reach his father, which might have a significant influence on his Appeals Court case. In addition, he is concerned about his cancer diagnosis.
"I'm not sure how much longer my father has. "He won't speak to me because of this security stuff," he explained at the time.
