Lenovo launched the Legion 9i at Tech World Shanghai 2025 on Thursday. It is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and comes with DDR5 RAM and a PCIe Gen 5 SSD. It may be configured with up to a GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, which, when combined with the CPU, can deliver a total power of 280W. Lenovo has fitted the Legion 9i with a Legion Coldfront Vapour thermal system to provide effective heat dissipation. It has an 18-inch 240Hz PureSight screen that can display up to 4K resolution in 2D, with optional 2K 3D capabilities.

Lenovo Legion 9i prices begin at EUR 4,499 (about Rs. 4,32,000). It will be available for purchase in Europe beginning in June 2025, and in North America in the fourth quarter of the year. The corporation has yet to divulge the laptop's price in the United States.
It will be available in a single Carbon Black color and will include a three-month free Xbox Game Pass membership.

The Lenovo Legion 9i has an 18-inch 4K (3,840 x 2,400) LCD screen with a 240Hz refresh rate, 540 nits peak brightness, and full DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. The display is VESA DisplayHDR 400, TUV Rheinland, and Dolby Vision certified, and it supports Nvidia G-Sync. It is also available in a screen model that supports both 2K 3D (1,920 x 1,200 pixels) and 4K 2D (3,840 x 2,400 pixels) resolution.
According to the business, the gaming laptop is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU with up to 64GB of dual channel DDR5 RAM and up to 2TB of PCIe Gen5 SSD storage. It provides for a maximum RAM increase of 192GB and storage expansion of 8GB. It supports Windows 11 Pro. The processor is accompanied by up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU with 175W of peak computing power. For optimal performance, the CPU and GPU can supply up to 280W combined.
The Lenovo Legion 9i features a Coldfront Vapour thermal system, which includes a vapour chamber, a hyper chamber, and a quad fan system. It is supposed to contain specialized fans for the Wi-Fi card, SSD, and RAM to help in heat dissipation during graphically intensive operations. This method is said to keep the laptop quieter than 48dB even at 280W in performance mode.
The laptop has a Lenovo AI Core processor and Lenovo AI Engine+, which work together to alter settings based on user scenarios, resulting in optimal performance for applications such as gaming and rendering. The Lenovo Legion Space also uses AI to sync the laptop's RGB to match the in-game music and on-screen images, which is supported by a six-speaker sound system with Nahimic audio. It also has software-dependent AI-powered gameplay features including Coach, Game Clip Master, and Game Companion.
