Meghan Markle has been accused of "flouting" her HRH title for personal gain, according to insiders.
Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, faced backlash after posting a photo of a gift basket she gave to a friend. There was a message in the basket that said, "With Compliments of HRH The Duchess of Sussex".
The Sussexes notably decided not to use the HRH title for commercial reasons after retiring from their royal responsibilities in 2020.
According to royal insiders, the pair uses the HRH title in their everyday lives and even has it "emblazoned on their stationery".
According to a source, Meghan despises the royal family and the United Kingdom, but she disregards [the HRH] for personal advantage. It is horrible. "Everything about her is contradictory."
They said, "[She] accepted the [royal] platform and hierarchy, but it just does not translate in the United States. It's strange to refer to your staff as 'private office' while asking them to address you as Sir and Ma'am. Heaven forbid she just requests people to call her 'Meghan.'"
The mole called the action "disgraceful" and "shocking," adding that "[They] were asked not to use the titles for this very kind of issue."
However, the tipster stated, "While they do not publicly use 'HRH,' this was a personal gift, and their titles will remain."
