Ed Sheeran has scheduled three big gigs in Ipswich, with an array of special guests.
The 35-year-old English singer-songwriter is returning to his birthplace to launch his next album, Play, as he revealed on Friday, May 2, that he would perform in Ipswich this summer.
Sheeran will perform among other notable artists at Suffolk Town's Portman Road stadium, home of his favorite Ipswich Town FC football team.
The Perfect crooner will sing with Myles Smith and Tori Kelly on night one, Busted and Dylan on night two, and James Blunt and Maisie Peters on the final night.
In the video, he is seen drawing lines on the venue's pitch and scribbling a lengthy message about the field's significance.
The Shape of You hitmaker began by saying, "I have something very exciting to announce." One of my first concerts as a child was at Ipswich Town Portman Road to watch Elton John.
"Then things took off for me and I toured the world, but never ended up playing ipswich really, for whatever reason, but mostly because I lived there and thought if I'm gonna do it, it has to be special," she said.
