Prince William and Princess Kate were in love on VE Day.

On Thursday, May 8, the Prince and Princess of Wales attended the VE Day 80: A Celebration To Remember performance in London. They were accompanied by King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince Edward, and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh.

Thursday's musical concert concluded a week-long commemoration of VE Day, which honors the conclusion of World War II in Europe on May 8, 1945.

William's kind gesture was filmed as he and Princess Kate proceeded into their seats, when he placed his hand on her back to help her. In another romantic moment, Kate placed her hand on William's back and looked at him fondly in another photograph.

Although the couple has generally avoided public displays of affection, they appear to have softened their stance during Kate's cancer treatment.
