During a special ceremony at Westminster Abbey commemorating the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day, Prince William paid homage to servicemen and families.
On Thursday, the Prince of Wales wrote a poignant statement on Instagram.
William shared a series of images and videos from the occasion, calling it a "powerful reminder" of combat veterans' sacrifices. The first video clip shows the Prince of Wales laying a wreath at the Grave of the Unknown Warrior.
The caption's special message said, "Attending today's VE Day 80th anniversary service at Westminster Abbey was a powerful reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of those who served."
"An honour to mark this historic moment and give thanks alongside veterans and families," it continued.
William was also accompanied by his wife Kate Middleton, father King Charles, and stepmother Queen Camilla.
Notably, the Thanksgiving celebration opened with a two-minute silence, which was observed throughout the country.
It is worth noting that Prince William's considerate statement comes only days after Prince Harry's shocking interview.
Harry has allegedly left the royal family "hurt" again following his awful BBC interview. During the interview, the Duke of Sussex stated his desire for peace while also acknowledging that certain members of the royal family will "never forgive" him for writing Spare.
