Usher has revealed the one Australian food he makes sure to have backstage as he prepares for his first Australian tour in over a decade.
The 46-year-old American singer-songwriter and dancer recently appeared on The Project and raved about the native Australian red licorice.
During a talk with broadcaster Rove McManus, Usher quipped, "There should be loads of this waiting for me when I get there."
He went on: "I have no idea why it's so good and what you do that's so different than American liquorice but it is by far the best liquorice that I have ever tasted in my life."
The American R&B musician went on to say that he usually brings enough of liquorice on his trips to Australia.
"It's a must. It is on every list of riders I have for everything I do. It's unquestionably the greatest liquorice in the world. It's wonderful!" The There Goes My Baby singer acknowledged.
Singing compliments for Australia, he said, "It's been about ten years since I've been there." I adore, love, Australia. I enjoy the excitement, the food, the accent, and everything else about it.
"If I were to retire, where would I go? "I say Australia," Usher explained.
For those who are unaware, the Coming Home singer will be in Australia later this year for his Past Present Future Tour, which will include eight gigs - four at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne and four at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.
