Prince William visited Leith Community Centre on Wednesday, a venue that is undergoing significant renovation, according to a statement published by the royal family as the Prince of Wales arrived in Scotland for royal responsibilities.
The press release continued: "Proud to mark the launch of Leith United, a new social enterprise bringing together Street Soccer Scotland, YMCA Edinburgh and the Leith Community Centre Association to deliver health, wellbeing and social connection for thousands of residents."
It continued: "Through the Royal Foundation's Community Impact Programme, support has been provided to protect this vital local hub from closure and to turn it into a sustainable centre for opportunity and belonging."
