There is conjecture that Tom Cruise may leave the Mission Impossible franchise after the forthcoming chapter.
However, the megastar's words at Cannes appear to pave the way for future installments in the franchise.
"I'd rather just people see it and enjoy and we've had an amazing time doing it and it's been a lot of fun and I just want you all to enjoy it," according to him. "Enjoy this and know everything is the culmination has come to this moment right now."
In other parts of the interview, Tom commented on his well-known antics, adding, "I've always felt, you know, I don't mind kind of encountering the unknown and I like the feeling." It's merely an emotion to me. It's not paralyzing. "It does not bother me."
He went on to say, "I like any pursuit in life. People might be frightened to do something, but I'm like, 'OK, I want to.' I'm willing to tackle it and go in. People can be pretty afraid of the unknown, and I have never been."
Tom's Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning will be released on May 21.
