William and Kate will join King and Queen for their second joint appearance in three days

 

To end the VE DAY commemorations on Thursday, Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton will perform a live celebration performance at Horse Guards Parade alongside King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Earlier, the pair was caught arriving at Westminster Abbey to attend a Thanksgiving Service commemorating the 80th anniversary of VE Day.

A press release from Buckingham Palace read: "The King and Queen, joined by Members of the Royal Family, attended today's Service at Westminster Abbey to recognise the 80th Anniversary of VE Day and to commemorate the sacrifice of the Second World War generation."

Charles and William placed wreaths at Westminster Abbey to honor the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, which culminated four days of remembrance around the country.

The thanksgiving ceremony at the Abbey began with a two-minute silence, which was held across the country, to commemorate Nazi Germany's unconditional surrender on May 8, 1945.

William and Kate would make their second joint appearance with the monarch, queen, and other royals in just three days.

On May 5, Charles and other senior royals joined veterans and audiences to observe a magnificent military parade and flypast, the first of four days of commemorations celebrating the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day.
