Zara Tindall has made a surprising confession.
The daughter of Princess Anne and niece of King Charles recently revealed that there are "disadvantages" to being a royal.
Zara told Mirror at the London Sporting Club Lunch that her royal position has made it more difficult to compete.
She stated on being a part of the royal family, "No one would believe me, but there were a lot of disadvantages."
"But the beautiful thing about sports is that it provides a fair playing field. "You have to run out and perform," she said. "If you want to be on the squad, you have to win. You need to be consistent. "You can't fake it."
Notably, Zara Tindall, who won silver at the 2012 London Olympics, recalled receiving the medal from her mother, Princess Anne, stating, "My mum gave me the Olympic silver medal," adding, "She was so proud and it was amazing to get it from her."
"I was like, 'Do I kiss her or hug my mum?'" she said.
