Following Colchester, Princess Kate will make another secret Royal stop

 

The Princess of Wales made staff and patients happy during her visit to Colchester Hospital on Tuesday, but her royal responsibilities did not stop there.

Kate appeared unexpectedly to the 2 PARA Cultural Day, organized by Support Our Paras, the charity for the Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces.

The Princess was pictured conversing cheerfully with soldiers of the regiment while wearing the same elegant tweed jacket, striped shirt, and brown pants as on her previous tour.

In one especially sweet moment, she was spotted cradling a little dog, much to the joy of royal watchers.

The cultural day included a global variety of food and drink, creating an uplifting and instructive environment for the troops.

In a statement with the photographs, Support Our Paras explained: "The 2 PARA Cultural Day is an opportunity for paratroopers to come together and celebrate the battalion's many cultural groups." This event is instructive and important for the battalion's morale."

While King Charles is Colonel-in-Chief of the Parachute Regiment, Kate has gradually taken on military tasks of her own.

In 2023, she was named Commodore-in-Chief of the Fleet Air Arm, Colonel-in-Chief of the 1st Queen's Dragoon Guards, and the Royal Honorary Air Commodore of RAF Coningsby.
