One UI 8 is planned to be introduced later this year as Samsung's version of the Android 16 operating system. According to social media suggestions, the South Korean tech company may add new capabilities to a well-known Galaxy AI function. Audio Eraser, which allows users to erase undesired or background noises from films, may soon function in real time, eliminating the need to enter editing mode.
Audio Eraser Upgrades in One UI 8
Ice Universe, a tipster on X (previously Twitter), posted a brief video demonstrating how the enhanced Audio Eraser feature in One UI 8 would work. It is possible that viewers will be able to remove background or desired sounds, such as automobile horns or crowd chatter, while watching the video in real time. This is believed to avoid the requirement to enter the editing mode to do the same action.

When a video is played, a dedicated noise-reduction option is supposed to show in the player's bottom right corner. It is represented by a new icon, which combines the Galaxy AI emblem with an eraser icon. When pressed, the procedure begins within the media player, then playing resumes with the audio erased, according to the tipster.
In One UI 7, the Audio Eraser feature is only available in the standard Gallery app. However, previous rumors imply that Samsung may potentially add compatibility for other apps, such as Samsung Notes and Voice Recorder.
The One UI 8 Beta apparently has increased support for this functionality, which may be implemented for all Galaxy devices when the public build of the Android 16-based OS is released.
