The Adobe Firefly app is the latest home for Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash Image model. The software giant revealed on Thursday that the picture generating and editing model, also known as Nano Banana, will be included into the app's Firefly text-to-image module. The artificial intelligence (AI) model is a premium product that requires a membership to the platform. Aside from the Firefly app, Nano Banana has been included into Firefly Boards, Photoshop's Generative Fill, and Adobe Express.
Adobe introduces Gemini's viral Nano Banana AI model
In a post, the software behemoth announced the addition of the Gemini 2.5 Flash Image model to its library of third-party image creation models. Nano Banana now joins Google's Imagen 3 and 4, OpenAI's GPT Image, Runway Gen-4 Image, Flux 1.1 Ultra, and other models.
To utilize the Gemini model in the Firefly app, launch the app, navigate to the Text-to-image option, and then choose Nano Banana from the model selector. Once picked, they may simply add a prompt and produce the picture they want.
Users may also upload and modify images directly from the prompt bar. Because Flash Image is recognized for character consistency, users can change individual components while leaving the rest intact. The picture creation model also enables follow-up queries, allowing users to do repeated modifications.
Google's Nano Banana AI model recently gained popularity for maintaining character uniformity when modifying photos. Over the previous month, users have reimagined their photos as action figures in a nostalgic manner. Those who want to use the model's skills in more creative and professional projects may now just launch the Adobe Firefly program and start creating and editing.
Notably, the Firefly function is a paid option that needs credits. While free-tier customers receive limited monthly credits, the Adobe Firefly Standard membership includes 2,000 credits per month. It is the lowest membership tier, costing Rs. 797.68 per month (including GST). It also lets customers create up to 20 five-second movies, translate up to six minutes of audio, and use Firefly Boards.
