Google is enhancing its Gemini 2.5 Flash artificial intelligence (AI) model. On Thursday, the Mountain View-based tech giant upgraded the model's capabilities, making its replies more structured and capable of assessing and answering questions regarding submitted photographs. Additionally, the large language model (LLM) will be able to better assist students with their assignments. All of these features are now being rolled out to consumers worldwide. It will be available on both mobile applications and the internet.
Gemini 2.5 Flash is now better at displaying answers to queries
In a series of postings on X, the Gemini app's official account detailed the improvements being made to the Gemini 2.5 Flash model. Improvements have been achieved in three key areas. The first step is to enhance homework assistance. Google claims that the Gemini 2.5 Flash's reasoning powers have been increased, allowing it to answer to hard assignment queries. Following the Socratic style of learning, the chatbot will assist pupils step by step, breaking down big ideas into manageable chunks.
Finally, the tech giant has enhanced the AI model's visual comprehension. Image comprehension is a computer vision feature that allows an LLM to comprehend and contextualize various information in a photo. According to the business, the latest version allows the model to understand and answer questions regarding a comprehensive image or schematic.
Aside from this, Google has included a new quality-of-life function. Users may now submit their rough notes and have the AI model arrange or summarize the material. Additionally, the Gemini 2.5 Flash model can generate flashcards for users.
