The Moto X70 Air will be available in China shortly, according to a corporate statement on Weibo. A teaser image published by the Lenovo-owned company shows the device's thin shape, positioning it as a direct competitor to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and Apple's new iPhone Air model. The Moto X70 Air is expected to arrive in a green color option. It is also expected to operate on Qualcomm's recently released flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.
Motorola Confirmed the launch of Moto X70 Air
Motorola stated on its official Weibo account that the Moto X70 Air will arrive in China around the end of October. The text, however, does not provide the actual launch date. The teaser image shows someone holding the Moto X70 Air, which has a tiny profile similar to the Galaxy S25 Edge and iPhone Air.
The graphic shows a lightweight design and teases the Moto X70 Air's AI capabilities. It also shows a side view of the phone, with the volume and power buttons situated on the right edge. It looks to feature an elevated rear camera module that might contain at least two sensors. The item shown is green with a copper-accented camera module, although other colors are anticipated to be available at launch.
Motorola has not released the actual thickness of the Moto X70 Air, although it might be between 5.6mm and 5.8mm. Samsung released the Galaxy S25 Edge in May of this year with a 5.8mm thin profile, while the iPhone Air, Apple's smallest iPhone ever, is just 5.6mm. The Tecno Pova Slim 5G was released earlier this month in India and has a thickness of 5.95mm.
Motorola has not revealed any Moto X70 Air details, however it is possible that it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 CPU. Qualcomm has revealed Motorola as one of its launch partners for the new mobile platform, and the Moto X70 Air might be the first device to have this premium chip.
Next month, many premium smartphones will be launched with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The Xiaomi 17 series was the first to launch with the new SoC in China last year. The Honor Magic 8 series, iQOO 15, OnePlus 15, and Realme GT 8 Pro are the other models known to use the same strong CPU.
