Vivo on Monday unveiled a preview program for its next Android 16-based software, OriginOS 6. It is originally available on two handsets: the Vivo X200 Pro and the iQOO 13. This enables qualified users to test all of the new features of the next OS version before they are widely available. They will get access to a redesigned user interface (UI), enhanced customization choices, and additional capabilities powered by artificial intelligence.
OriginOS 6 Preview Program for Vivo X200 Pro and iQOO 13
In a press release, Vivo stated that the OriginOS 6 preview program would be available beginning September 29 by enrolling on qualifying smartphones such as the Vivo X200 Pro and iQOO 13. Users will thereafter have early access to the updated Android 16 operating system (OS).
Because it is an insider programme, participants are urged to submit feedback to the firm based on their experiences in order to enhance performance and squash any flaws before OriginOS 6 is released to the public.
To register:
1. Go to Settings > System Update on the Vivo X200 Pro or iQOO 13.
2. Tap on the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner of the screen.
3. Next, pick Version Trial > Closed Beta Sign-Up > View Details.
4. Fill out the registration form with the relevant information.
Once completed, the firm will assess the application and notify qualified consumers of the following stages. Before installing, Vivo X200 Pro users need update to the latest system version 15.0.14.1. Meanwhile, iQOO 13 users can install version 15.0.13.9 or higher.
OriginOS 6 is likely to bring about big changes for Vivo and iQOO smartphones in India. Previously, the OS versions were known as FuntouchOS, with OriginOS only available in China and a few other regions. However, the corporation is currently promoting consistency by offering OriginOS 6 in India. The most recent OS upgrade will be presented in China on October 16.
