Sony's WH-1000XM6 wireless headphones with active noise cancellation (ANC) were finally released in India on Monday. The business released the headphones internationally in May, and the over-ear headphones with 30mm drivers and touch controls. The headphones include 12 microphones and use Sony's HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3. The Sony WH-1000XM6 is said to provide up to 40 hours of listening time on a single charge when noise cancellation is switched off.

The Sony WH-1000XM6 wireless headphones cost Rs. 39,990 in India and come in Black, Platinum Silver, and Midnight Blue. They will be available for purchase at ShopatSC.com, Sony Centre, Amazon, and certain Croma and Reliance Digital stores.
For comparison, the headphones were released in worldwide markets in May for a price of $449.99 (approximately Rs. 38,400) in the United States and CAD 599.99 (about Rs. 51,200) in Canada.

The Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones are driven by 30mm dynamic speakers with a frequency response of 4Hz–40,000Hz and a sensitivity rating of 103dB. The over-the-ear wireless headphones use Sony's HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3. It has 12 omnidirectional microphones, a substantial advance over its predecessor, the WH-1000XM5. They have a portable design with folding ear cups and an impedance of 48 Ohm.
The Sony WH-1000XM6 supports Bluetooth 5.3 and Bluetooth LE Audio. The headphones can play SBC, AAC, LDAC, and LC3 audio formats. They have ANC to filter out extraneous noises and Sony's new Adaptive NC Optimiser. The headphones have an Auto Ambient Sound mode that adapts to the wearer's environment in real time.
Sony says its new headphones were created in partnership with leading mastering companies such as Sterling Sound, Battery companies, and Coast Mastering. They include an asymmetrical headband and stretchy earpads, as well as a carbon fiber composite dome and a vegan leather-infused headband. They are compatible with the Sony Sound Connect for EQ customization and can play music from Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube Music.
The Sony WH-1000XM6 uses Edge-AI and DSEE Extreme to upscale compressed audio in real time, recovering lost high-frequency sound. Gamers benefit from Game EQ, which was derived from Sony's INZONE series and improves FPS audio. For moviegoers, the headphones have 360 Reality Audio Upmix for Cinema, providing an immersive spatial sound experience.
The headphones include a dedicated mute switch, as well as straightforward touch and button controls for switching between noise cancellation, ambient mode, and mic mute. A six-mic AI beamforming technology enhances call quality by isolating and minimizing background noise. Quick device transitions are possible with features such as Multi-Point and Auto Switch.
The Sony WH-1000XM6 supports USB Type-C charging. The over-ear headphones are said to have a battery life of up to 30 hours with the Noise Cancellation technology activated and up to 40 hours with it turned off. The headphones' battery charge time is reported to be 3.5 hours. The headphones come with a travel case with a magnetic closure and weigh approximately 254 grams.
