Amidst the continuous struggle with Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, rifts are starting to emerge between King Charles and his two nieces, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
The king felt that it was unjust for Beatrice and Eugenie to be brought under public scrutiny alongside their contentious and scandal-plagued parents, especially because he had been aware of the effects his nieces would be experiencing while the York family went through significant life upheavals.
Although Prince William felt the same way about his cousins, royal analyst Richard Fitzwilliams claims that the sisters are suffering as a result of the royal family's choice.
He said that although both Princesses understand that what their uncle and cousin are doing is the next natural step, the kids still consider Andrew and Fergie to be their parents.
Following popular anger and protests, the King, persuaded by his heir William, ordered Andrew to give up his royal titles and honors. Furthermore, serious negotiations are also underway to have the disgraced royal removed from the Royal Lodge.
Fitzwilliams told Express.co.uk that the outcome of the Andrew and Sarah Ferguson controversy is unpredictable and will rely on what is in the Epstein files.
He clarified, "Because they are the daughters of Andrew and Sarah, it will also depend in part on how Beatrice and Eugenie feel about the treatment of their parents."
According to reports, Prince William supports a rule that would prohibit Andrew and Sarah Ferguson from all royal functions save church services. The current situation is essentially that things are happening really quickly.
All of these actions, he noted, "aren't likely to endear the King and Prince William to Beatrice and Eugenie," but they were crucial measures meant to save the monarchy.
