The forthcoming Battlefield 6 Battle Royale mode's exact name and release date have been announced by Electronic Arts. Battlefield Redsec, or "Redacted Sector," is the new BR mode for the military shooter, and it launches on October 28, the same day that Battlefield 6's Season 1 premieres. EA announced Monday that the Battle Royale mode will be free to play.
A gameplay trailer for Battlefield Redsec will also be released when the mode launches on October 28 at 8 a.m. PT (8.30 p.m. IST). When the Battle Royale mode becomes playable on Tuesday, EA is probably going to provide all the information.
Days after a leak revealed the mode's name and release date, EA confirmed it. Although EA had previously stated that Battlefield 6 will have a Battle Royale mode and provided some information about it, the publisher had not specified when Battlefield gamers would be able to access the feature.
The first wave of Battlefield 6's Season 1 post-launch DLC, which includes a new multiplayer map, a 4v4 mode, and new weaponry, will begin on the same day as Battlefield Redsec launches.
Redsec will accommodate up to 100 players on a single, large area with vehicles and environmental damage, in accordance with a previous update from EA. The "deadliest" ring in Battle Royale will be available in this mode, according to EA. In contrast to previous Battle Royale games, players will instantly die if they come into touch with the game's closing ring.

The business said last week in a community update that it will modify several Battlefield 6 gameplay elements for the Battle Royale mode. The mode will have rebalanced vehicles, armor plates, environment modifications, and a modified time-to-kill for close-quarters combat.
Redsec will begin with two playlists for squads (four players) and duos, according to sources. Furthermore, it is said that the mode would facilitate in-game communication using the proximity chat function.
Like Call of Duty: Warzone, Redsec could be released as a stand-alone free-to-play game for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X. On October 28, the mode will be available to all gamers.
Battlefield 6 became "the biggest launch" in the franchise's history when it was released on October 10 and sold over seven million copies in three days.
