It is expected that Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold will only be the second tri-fold smartphone to be sold commercially worldwide
During Tuesday's Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) conference, Samsung gave a preview of their future tri-fold smartphone. The phone, known as the Galaxy Z TriFold, is anticipated to be released shortly in a few international regions. The South Korean technology giant has not yet disclosed its capabilities. Though its distribution will be restricted to a few areas, it is anticipated to go into mass production prior to its introduction later this year.

Images of the next Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold, which was displayed during the APEC meeting in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, were released by the South Korean daily The Chosun Daily. To make folding into two halves easier, the handset seems to contain two inward-folding hinges. When folded, it resembles the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and takes the form of a typical bar-style smartphone.Like the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design, it features three side-by-side displays that can be folded in a Z shape. There seems to be a selfie-capable in-display hole-punch front camera on the rightmost screen.
The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is expected to have three different back panels, per earlier rumors. On the left-most back panel, a triple rear camera arrangement is anticipated. Its camera island could look like the one on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 if the renderings are accurate.
Leaks claim that the future triple foldable might use a titanium frame. According to rumors, it will include 16GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU. A big 9.96-inch triple-folding inner display and a 6.54-inch cover screen are anticipated features of the phone. The phone may include a 200-megapixel primary camera with support for 100x magnification and a silicon-carbon battery.
Its broader availability is questioned, though. Only a few markets, including China, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and the United Arab Emirates, may sell the Galaxy Z TriFold, according to sources. According to reports, Samsung intends to produce just 50,000 of the phone. It is anticipated to arrive as the world's second commercially accessible tri-fold smartphone, after the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design, which was unveiled in September 2024.
