It claims to provide up to 36% faster CPU performance and up to 59% better GPU performance, building on the strengths of the current Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 platform. The newest CPU, which supports 144Hz Full HD+ screens, up to 200-megapixel camera sensors, and Wi-Fi 6E capabilities, is targeted at low-end Android smartphones and tablets.

Qualcomm claims that the SM6435-AA, a model number for the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, is superior to the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 that the firm unveiled in May. The chip's 64-bit architecture and octa-core Qualcomm Kryo CPU are based on a 4nm node. According to the business, it features a 4 + 4 configuration, with four efficiency cores running at up to 1.8GHz and four performance cores clocked at up to 2.4GHz. According to reports, it offers a 36% CPU boost over its predecessor.
A Qualcomm Adreno GPU is included with the CPU. It supports hardware-accelerated H.265 and VP9 decoders, HDR gaming, 10-bit color depth, and OpenGL ES 3.2, Vulkan 1.1, and OpenCL 2.0 FP APIs. Qualcomm claims that the GPU performance of the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 mobile platform would increase by 59%.
It is stated that devices using this chipset may handle Full HD+ screens with a maximum refresh rate of 144 Hz, UFS 3.1 storage, and up to LPDDR5 RAM clocked at 3200 MHz. Additionally, it will handle twin 16-megapixel sensors or single camera lenses with up to 200 megapixels of resolution. A triple 12-bit Spectra ISP configuration, Hardware-Based Multi-Frame Noise Reduction (MFNR), and compatibility for the H.264 video capture codec are all features of the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor.
Qualcomm claims that its new mobile processor can accurately detect satellite systems with lane-level and sidewalk-level precision, including QZSS, Galileo, Beidou, GLONASS, NavIC, and GPS.
It supports Wi-Fi 6E, 5G mmWave, Bluetooth 5.4, and Bluetooth LE for communication. Additionally, it supports USB Type-C Quick Charge 4+. Additionally, fingerprint recognition is supported by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 through a dedicated sensor thanks to Qualcomm 3D Sonic Sensor and Qualcomm 3D Sonic Sensor Max support.
