One of the most important aspects of personalizing one's social networking profiles is the use of profile and cover photographs. Although cover photographs have only been available for WhatsApp Business accounts up until now, the Meta-owned messaging app now seems to be working on making the feature available to all users. It may take some time before the most recent change is made available to users in a future update, as it is part of a larger drive toward increased profile customization.
Any user may soon be able to upload their own cover photo to WhatsApp
The messaging app is developing a new feature that would let users upload a cover photo to be seen on their profile, according to a post by feature tracker WABetaInfo. Users of WhatsApp will be able to select an image from their profile settings once it is introduced. The user's cover photo, which is similar to those on other websites like Facebook and LinkedIn, will appear at the top of their page.![]() |

A screenshot of the potential appearance of the cover photo choice was also supplied by the feature tracker. Additionally, a new privacy setting for cover photographs is anticipated to be added to the site, allowing users to decide who may see them. Like the options in the Status and Profile Photo settings, the options in testing are Everyone, My contacts, and Nobody.
All WhatsApp users, including those who are not on your contact list, will be able to see the cover photo if you choose Everyone. Choosing Nobody will conceal the cover photo from everyone, while My Contacts will restrict view to just saved contacts.
According to reports, WhatsApp beta 2.25.32.2 for Android devices is developing the cover image feature and is making its way to testers through the Google Play beta program. Beta testers won't be able to see or use the feature because it is currently under development. However, it appears that the ability to put up cover photographs will soon be available to all users, so WhatsApp Business subscribers won't be the only ones with this feature in the future.
