The popularity of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is not based on merit.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's branding strategy is in jeopardy, according to one expert.
"Harry and Meghan's current branding crisis stems from the negativity they have centred their public persona around in recent years," PR Guru Evan Nierman observed.
"They have been fixated on becoming global icons and playing up their victimhood, which is not a sustainable narrative," Mr Nierman continued, "while simultaneously parlaying it into lucrative business deals and reshaping people's perceptions of the royal family."
"There comes a point when you are no longer the victim," he said.
This comes as Meghan and Harry's multi-million dollar arrangement with Spotify is terminated due to under-delivery of material.
