Hijack executive producer Hakan Kousetta recently revealed if Idris Elba, who plays Nelson on the programme, will return for a second season, and he also discussed fan responses to the tense season finale, which debuted on Apple TV on August 4th.
Kousetta acknowledged his delight at the great fan response to the series. He stated that Apple's weekly release approach is great, and it's difficult to convey how happy he feels when a programme resonates with a large number of people.
In an interview with Variety, Kousetta revealed that they gave close attention to the notion of creating the programme for a worldwide audience, and that the show had a multicultural cast. He went on to say that the crew paid close attention to detail.
When asked why every episode of the programme ended on a cliffhanger, the producer stated, "Nothing on the show was accidental." The goal was to keep the show moving forward."
In response to the much-anticipated topic of whether Sam Nelson (Idris Elba) will be in the show's second season, Hakan said, "Oh, gosh, I wish I could tell you that." I hope so, but we'll have to wait and see."
Idris Elba previously stated in an interview with Variety, "I am never gonna say no."
