Blake Shelton just announced details for his first Las Vegas residency, Blake Shelton: Live in Las Vegas in 2025.
In an interview with PEOPLE, Blake stated: "It's been swirling for years now, and ever since the idea was first floated about opening an Ole Red in Las Vegas, this conversation has been happening too."
"If you're going to have a stake in Las Vegas, you got to do a residency also if you're an artist," he said to the publication.
Blake told me: "I've just been kicking the can down the road because I wanted the Ole Red to be open before I did it."
The artist announced that the gigs would take place between February 5 and February 15, with tickets on sale beginning August 16 on his official website.
Blake's buddy Garth Brooks also had a successful residency in Las Vegas, and the country artist claimed that he was inspired by his friend's performances.
"He performed tunes he grew up with and inspired him to become in love with music. I don't want to rip anyone off, but I do like the notion of doing something you wouldn't ordinarily see on tour," the performer remarked.
Blake went on: "So I got to figure out what that is, and now I'm going to start thinking about how it would be different than something I would do on tour."
Earlier this year, Blake and Gwen published their latest love ballad, Purple Irises, which he stated was their "favourite" tune.
"I always assumed it was simply something odd. "It sounded like it came from another time," he said.
