Brooke Shields' next book, Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old, will be published on August 5, and its cover will be revealed on the same date.
In a statement to PEOPLE, the actress added, "I hope this book will help start a conversation that benefits us all."
Brooke tweeted, "Midlife can be the prime of life — it's filled with so many more possibilities than we've been led to believe."
The actress told the publication, "I have loved the process of writing this book, and I can't wait to share it with readers."
The book's official description states that "it is an intimate and empowering exploration of ageing that presents a new way for women to view getting older."
Flatiron Books will publish Brooke's latest book on January 14, 2025. However, it is now available for presale anywhere books are sold. The actress will also narrate the audiobook version.
Brooke also penned the New York Times bestseller Down Came the Rain, which is a memoir of her postpartum depression.
In addition, she wrote the novel There Was a Little Girl. The plot centers on her connection with her mother, Teri, who died in 2012.
In addition to writing and performing, Brooke is the CEO of Commence, a haircare brand that supports her vision of embracing life's next stages.
