Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have arrived in Colombia, and Vice President Francia Márquez has welcomed them warmly.

Márquez invited the Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry to Colombia to share their tale. As the trip began today, Márquez revealed why he extended the invitation to the Sussexes.
As the trip began today, Márquez explained what drove her to invite the Sussexes to Colombia.
She stated: "I discovered their tale on Netflix and was captivated by it. Meghan is a woman who deserves to come to this nation and share her experience."
The vice president said, "Last year, we convened a gathering on July 25, the day of Afro-descendant women.
"We wanted to invite Meghan, an Afro-descendant lady, to the meeting to discuss her experiences.
"We sent her a letter inviting her, and she answered that she couldn't visit but was eager to learn about the nation.
"Since then, we have been working for a year for this visit."
The royal couple landed in Bogota to meet with the vice president and her husband.
