Matt Damon revealed that he "could never imagine living like" his colleague Ben Affleck as divorce tensions rise.
Damon, 53, has expressed thankfulness that his personal life has been mostly disregarded by the public, citing his 19-year marriage to Luciana Barroso as "boring".
While promoting his new film The Instigators, which co-stars Casey Affleck, Matt told the Radio Time Podcast: "'25 years ago, the gossip magazine culture was huge, but they ignored me."
"I wasn't an intriguing story; the person who got married is dull! Scandal and sex are what people read magazines for. "I've been extremely lucky."
He said, "Especially when I look at Casey's brother, Ben. We've had similar professions in many respects, but I can't image living under that kind of scrutiny for 25 years.
It comes after Lopez, 55, fuelled fan suspicion that her recent Instagram picture contained a secret message to her apparently split spouse, Affleck, 51.
In a film advertising Delola, JLo appeared beside the pool of her $65 million LA estate, wearing a yellow and white striped tank top and the Batman star's wedding rings.
Her caption was, "Slush summer crush."
For those unfamiliar, Affleck and Damon rose to prominence after co-writing and acting in the highly acclaimed 1997 picture Good Will Hunting, which launched their lucrative Hollywood careers.
