Prince Harry and Meghan Markle landed in Vancouver on Friday to begin off the highly anticipated nine-day Invictus Games.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are apparently staying at a posh hotel with a steep nightly rate.
The royal couple was observed entering the five-star Fairmont Pacific Rim after arriving in a convoy of three huge, blacked-out SUVs. They had arrived by private charter plane from Santa Barbara Airport, near their property in Montecito, California.
They are said to be staying in the Chairman's Suite, which costs around £5,000 per night. The two-story 2,250-square-foot apartment-style lodging has its own private elevator and rooftop patio.
It also has a unique 8-foot Swarovski crystal chandelier, two luxury baths, two living room spaces, its own kitchen, pantry, and wine cellar, and a luxurious master bedroom with a fireplace.
Several celebrities have already leased the suite, including Katy Perry, Chris Martin, and Nelly Furtado.
According to insiders close to the pair, Meghan is focused on supporting Harry during the occasion.
"Her attendance underscores her support for her husband and the mission of Invictus, a cause that is deeply personal to both of them," an insider told the newspaper.
"While the Duchess has several exciting projects on the horizon, her family remains her top priority."
