Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie have been separated from their parents again, after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle journeyed to Canada without them.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex appeared to keep their children out of the spotlight as they started off the Invictus Games in Vancouver on Saturday.
Meghan, 43, made a difficult decision for her husband Harry by leaving Archie and Lilibet in California with her mother's care.
The Duchess grabbed the spotlight when she mounted the stage and gave an impromptu address, saying she "hadn't planned on speaking" before introducing her husband. The two also kissed on stage to show that they have a very deep friendship and to put rumors to rest.
Meghan remarked, "We are overjoyed to be here, and I would be remiss if I did not take this opportunity to introduce someone who means a lot to me." And I know he means a lot to everyone of you. "You will see him throughout the week."
The Duchess of Sussex went on to say, "What you won't have seen are all of the moments that have transpired in the run-up to these Games, all of the times when, as you know, with families, the great rush in the morning—getting ready for school, filling lunch boxes, preparing breakfast.
"It means a lot to him." You are his family, just as we are his family, and I hope you understand how much of his heart he has put into everything that has brought you all to this week, which will be magnificent. I simply want you to know that."
"I need you to know how much it means to him and how much each of you means to him."
