King Charles was complimented for his attractive appearance during a surprise visit to Old Spitalfields Market in East London on Thursday, when he braved the weather to interact with the public.
The king was greeted warmly by the excited people, who were anxious to shake hands and speak with him.
In an unexpected action, the 75-year-old King crossed a major roadway to join the packed market without causing traffic to stop, stunning spectators. While security was present, they enabled the King to interact with the populace in an open and comfortable manner.
During his visit, King Charles stopped by an antiques stand where dealer Paul Brimmer gave him a'special discount' on a vintage watch--before joking, 'Oh, but you do not have cash.'
Brimmer didn't stop there. He said, smiling, "You are more handsome in real life than on television."
It is worth noting that the Royal visit was part of King Charles' participation with the South by Southwest (SXSW) Festival in Shoreditch, which is the first time the famed Texas-born event has been held in London.
